hello i have a starlet from 87 with a 2e engine in it.

can anybody tell me the name of the part that is bolted on to the cylinder head to the right of the air inlet manifold. it is some kind of pump i think and has 3 tubes coming from it and is driven from the camshaft. what is it's purpose?
