the shape which has just gone out. has anyone been agaist one? been in one?

i am thinking about getting one and noticed you can chip them to 260-270bhp. all going through the front wheels though.

these cars must absolutely kill a typer comprssor etc... and you can get a decent one for 10k

Do you really find that car attractive?

Get the Golf or octavia instead---same engine better handling, image and looks!

No doubt the cupra R's are nice cars but there would be little difference performance wise between a standard cupra R and a T sport compressor, and you could pick a compressor up for similar money, and i think chipping a FWD car over 250hp is too much for the front wheels to handle anyway.

If i was you i would stick with what you've got cos you would miss that amazing LIFT that our t sport's are famous for!

just my opinion though :D

Lovely cars, haven't checked that model but Leon's are usually Golfs with a few SEAT badges in place of VW ones & with a couple of grand knocked off the price so with that in mind I'm only ever going to say good things about them aren't I?

Personally I see the lift on CTS's as a bad thing, it means you've got to get the revs up before you get any joy from the car, the turbo in my car kicks in at either 1,900 rpm or 2,100 & so the power is always there

I must say I really like the look of the new Seats, and keep making subtle comments to the gf like "You should buy one of those" and "Ditch the Polo and get a Curpa R". I don't think she's taken the hint yet :( A lot of people don't seem to like the shape of them, but I think the lines on it are fantastic and it has a decent amount of power too, but as has been said I think chipping it to 250+ bhp would be suicidal.

All in all, definitely a car I wouldn't mind sitting in the driveway, although I think in a 2 years or so when I change cars i'll see what the prices of the 2nd hand Audi A5/S5/RS4 are doing :)

We are all different hence we buy different cars! Even CTR owners are different from CTS owner!

I like high revving engine cause I like caning it (Different noise at different rpm) that's why I never buy a turbo diesel---fun stop at 4000rpm. Most Turbo car can only sing 1 tune and you will soon get bore with it! I used to own a 106 Rallye which only got 100bhp but I love it to bits!

One main factor for a fun car is the ability to encourage you to work it---that's why most serious driver will not buy an automatic diesel car for fun----No doubt diesel cars are great for commuting though!

My ideal fun car need to be Manual, High RPM, Good noise, Slick gearchange, Communicative steering, Good brake feel! That why I like the Audi RS4, BMW M3, 997GT3, Ferrari F430, Gallardo as they all rev beyond 8000rpm. I don't think I will buy cars like AMG Mercedes, Bentley, Jaguar XKR which is for drivers who are a bit more layback when going fast!
