Toad on mine. Nothing flash, but works well with no problems. And £200 fitted including CAT1 certificate.

Got exactly the same alarm on the MR2 but that also has microwave sensor to make it beep when anyone is within a foot or so of the car. That was another £50 but again very pleased with it.

Thanks for the advice, chaps.

Yes, it's an import (early 1994 WRC model :D). I'll probably look into the Toad. I've read on this forum that there may be problems with Clifford alarms?

I am based in the South East (Southend). Are there any recommended alarm suppliers and installers for Toad products?

Sorry mate, mine was in Mansfield, Notts; I'd recommend him very highly, but not much use to you.

Found him though eBay; just rang him up and got a good price, and he sounded like he knew what he was doing.

Hopefully someone local to you can give you a recommendation though.

Toad and clifford are made in the same factory by the same people and probably with the same parts, they are both top systems but remember with a well known system and a pro car theif it's still only takes a few seconds so get the installer to put the alarm LED out of total plain sight and not to put on the advertising stickers
