Interesting but ma bearded collie is not just deaf but appears to have developed sudden on-set alzeimhers or some sort of blindness... he used to chase buses but age has limited this. For some reason, he just likes sitting on the back seat of faithers Punto (he's the only one brave enough to enter the car wi ma faither wha's 88.) Then again, if he's become deaf and blind then he cannae see wits just missed...???? :lol:

Its off to the vet ramoro wi oor dug, which'll cost a fortune - I'll ask the vet about ma sore toe when I'm there tae get ma moneys worth. If all goes badly, then I'll be able to use yer picture oa yer dug tae place oan the back seat o the Punto so faither willnae see a difference.

aaaah. Sounds like my German Shepherd/Collie cross, she was the fastest dog on the playing field at one time, but now at 14 she plods around, sniffing out the squirrells she used to chase 6 foot up a tree! One good thing I found, the old gluccosamine and kronditin (Sp?) tablets are a miracle cure, she used to be slow getting up and stretching, now she is great on her feet, just cant see where she is going, lol

We have a 10 year old Bearded Collie who is daft as a brush. She was one of the main reasons for buying the RAV, as the boot doesn't have a lip for her to have to jump over. She does however scratch the bumper on the 4.3 everytime she escapes for a walk. The space underneath is ideal for storing all her associated junk such as water, bowls, lead, towels etc.

I agree about the Glucosamine. It is a wonder drug for her, no more creaking when she gets up in the morning.

I bought a years supply of glucosamine but the dog just spat them out no matter what i wrapped them in !! Ended up I take them now!! woof woof!

He's on a liquid from the vet which at £60 a bottle, he get 30ml a month (and not a day) - thats enough for a months supply of amber nectar for me.......

He's 14 too - got lifted by the polis 7 years ago for chasing a bus along the main road for 3 miles. Cost me £120 to bail him out and he got a reprimand from the policeman.

Hope the dog guard 'fetches' a good price- and thanks for the effort today re the intercooler. GT4 and folk who have them can't wait to swap them for front mounted and MR2 owners can't wait to get their hands on the top mounted ones it seems!

The eBay one seems like an answer albeits a bit expensive for what it is.

Mrs Kingo has the knack of opening up doggies mouth and poppin the pills down her throat, do you think I can do it? No way!

When she was away recently, I had to bribe the hound with a tasty bit of ham, and wrap the pills inside it, I had to make do with a bit of old cheese, doggit had all the ham, summat gotta be wrong with that
