As some might know ive had my t-sport three weeks now and i had left it for two days a 100 yards from my house in northampton and drove my euro polo to work. when going to my rolla two days later i noticed that the badges on my car looked odd and i thought that i had one on the front grill for sure on having a closer look some punk had taken a screw driver to the boot and grill they didnt manage to get the complete badges of the back but they had the one of the grill so i had to spend three hours trying to get the glue of the back and polish all the marks out luckly they all came out. WHY CANT TW*TS JUST LEAVE THINGS THAT DONT BELONG TO THEM ALONE HAVE SOME REPECT. :ffs:

p.s rant over

Sorry to hear that, but you are not alone mate.

My sister fell victim to the same type of scum. Her red Toyota Badge was pulled off and stolen, Scratches etc... I only realised the Badge was missing after i bought the car from her. A qucik call to Mr.T and a trip down to place the special order then another trip to pick it up, i had my Badge replaced.

It really annoys me when people don't respect other peoples property and leave well alone!!

Yeah the badges aren't that hard to get now, lots on eBay, but its the trail of damage they leave when trying to take whats yours.

I had so many scratches and spent ages cleaning the residue glue off carefully. Lots of hassle for no reason.

Stupid Chav Punks! Sorry to hear your badges got stolen. Thankfully I haven't suffered the same fate yet but they are easy to replace and from what you've wrote you've done well to clean up the mess.

How much do the buffers cost usually?

I'm tempted to get one, but then again i'll be booking my car into a bodyshop soon to take care of all the trolley dings and other scratches people have done to my car, but if it's reasonable price i may get one for future small paint jobs.

well i got mine for free and i lucked out as it is the twin headed one :yahoo: but ive heard people saying that you can get an okish one for £100 or so but saying that if i had the marks removed by a paint shop it would have cost me more then a new buffer and ive sorted mates out and earnd some change here abd there you have to be so carefull tho as it doesnt take much to absolutley bugger the paint

Thats just so frustrating, really feel for you ... going back I've had a Badge taken from my car before (Audi 80 GLE - fab car btw) ... it was in the 80's when a certain 'bad boy' group were about (I cant think of the name atm), it was all to do with VW and Audi badges being 'the thing' to have ... they would end up in kids bedrooms hanging on the wall and stuck on shelves ... at the particular car owners expense!!! ... I ended up having to go to the local breakers yard to get a Badge from there as the car looked so bare on the front grill without those silver four circles. I hate car vandalism and unfortunately theres too much of this; 'couldnt care less' attitude from people that it wont ever stop! ... And how they run over the boot, roof and bonnet of the car leaving dents all over! arghhhhh :ffs: ... as you say; lots of hassle for no reason.

I once took my family out to a christmas do and parked my merc in a well lit safe area and went into the huge ballroom ready to have a good new years 2000 party. When i came out in the early hours of the morning, i noticed huge dents and scratches on the bonnet, roof and boot. Some fools had decided it was cool to play-fight or something on my car like out of the movies. What a nice start to the new year. I was completley gutted. Almost all cars in the street had been done the same way. Complete fools out there wondering around ruining other peoples property for kicks and probably jealous too.

This is why it's near enough impossible to buy an expensive brand new car over 50k and live in london without some tool taking a liking to your property or just wants to 'tag' it with his own stupidity. Even if you own a locked garage, you still have to park it in public places when you drive it out.
