Hilux Surf Revving To Maximum & Can't Stop

I have a 1991 Toyota Hilux Surf 2.4 Diesel each time I turn on the ignition it blows the ECU fuse, if I start the car it revs stright to red line and I have to turn it off fast.

It has done it in the past occaisionally but has always been ok after it was turned off for a while so I am not sure if the fuse blowing is connected as I have only just found out that the fuse is blowing (never checked it before)

If anyone has any ideas what the problem is I would be grateful if they could let me know, either here or at gt4t@hotmail.com.

You need to do a diagnostics check to see what the ECU has logged.

Sounds like something to do with the TPS (Throttle position sensor) or vacuum loss at the solenoid which controls shut-down of the secondary throttle butterfly.
