Firstly hey all.

im sam 20 from hertfordshire.

im looking to buy myslef my first starlet.

looking at the 1994 ish starlet Gt Turbos.

however.... i dont know what to look out for when buying one.

ive had a good look on the market and there is a fair few about, some have had extensive mechanical repairs, some with a few but major ones and some with none at all. also the millage varies alot as well as the price.

so what i propse to all of you brainiacs out there is what do i look for? pros and cons.

max and minimum millage,

repairs carried out, radiators, cam belt etc

specific mods to be wary of?,and prices.

and anything else you can think of.

Hi and welcome.

The safest way to go about this is to get something with a full service history, and as standard as possible.

Sorry I can't really help more, but there are a fair few owners here who will be able to give you some more specific advice.

HI, welcome to the site!!

Your best bet when buying a car like this, is to go completely standard! And if you can, get it imported!

I bought a 1992 model, GT-Limited (only 1 of 2 in the country) straight from Japan! I paid £3100, which included import fee's, 12 months MOT, UK registration, 6 months tax, full service, 4 new tyres, and i got it deliverd to pretty much my door!!

But again, it depends on what you want, and how much you've got to spend!
