Service Intervals And Cambelt Changes

Another silly question to all, until I get my stamped service book from the dealer.

Are the service intervals @ 10k.? Is 50k a major service? The dealer told me the car was sent into a main dealer for it's service prior to purchase ( still awaiting service book from dealer. He is a relative so hopefully he will not try to turn me over)

Is the cambelt change at 60k - I've been told it's about £225-250 at main dealer. Prices will vary area to area of course.

The only place I've seen a manual is from the web at about £20-00. I try to do most things which do not require stripping down the engine and so forth, but some pictures are nice

Love the Rav, when my wife lets me near it. I've got an MK2 Supra which she hates so I'm used to the Toyota build quality, reliability and costs to a degree

Many thanks

Regards the servicing, is the routine not in the handbook?

On the manual - if its the one I think it is, its done for the American market. If you search previous posts on this forum, its either anchorman or chatman think who advocate the purchase of a full workshop manual - at a higher cost but with ALL the detail.

have fun

Ian
