when my wifes driveing her corolla t sport with the lights on every now and then they dim quite a bit then go back to how they should be, ive checked the Battery terminals and wiring to the back of the alternator all looks ok, just wondered if this had happened to any one else and also if there was any kind of regulator for the lights used to have one of them on an old opel that i used to have

cheers

Same here. It dims for a second and then back to normal...You can hear it too.

Never thought of it as a problem. Never had a problem so far.

I have a pre-facelift TSport.

its not causing any problems really just that she has a 03 plate one that does it and i have an 02 plate that doesn't so it just kind of annoying :)

i would suspect the alternator if your up to it you could swap the alternaters over and see if the fault switches from one car to the other then you would no where the fault lies

I rembered that this came up a long time ago heres the thread: http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...5&hl=lights

Its a common problem with the older T-Sports, mine does exactly the same thing. I find its very intermitant sometime it wont do it for ages and other times quite a lot.

It can be sorted out with a new ECU but l would rarther save a few hundred quid and live with it :D

Hope this helps !
