T Sport Engine

Hi Guys

Just wondering how tough the t sport engine is, Honda claim their VTEC is almost unbreakable, is the t sport engine in the same league?

Has anyone here got a t sport with say around the 100,000 mile mark, if so is it still running strong?

cheers :)

providing its regualrly serviced and serviced properly, it will go for 200k+ before anything major needs doing, theyre pretty solid engines, and also low maintenence :)

Cough. Lift bolts

Honda have made 1.5 million Vtec's up to June this year and they have never had a warranty claim yet and thats the gods honest truth. But i'd say the corolla engine is tough as long as its serviced properly.

have it from a relaible source that a fair few toyota engines are being replaced under warranty at the moment, the worst culprit is not the tsport apparantly its the d4d 180 engines

I've had no major engine work done yet and mine is 5 year old.

It is low mileage though at only 36k miles but it still feels new.

Honda maybe haven't had any claims for the V-TEC system.

But they will have had plenty of claims for engine parts that aren't the V-TEC system. And maybe even had some V-TEC failures out of warranty.
