Replacing Exhaust

Just a quick query to see if anyone here has had to replace the exhaust on the T-Sport, i've quickly looked at upgrading to the TTE/Remus and was just wondering if anyone has been forced to replace the exhaust yet and if so how long did the original last?

Mine is almost 6 years old, 44300 miles. Still on original, but looking to upgrade within a month. I had my car on a ramp last year while the second air induction pipe was being fitted just below the front spoiler under the car and noticed my exhaust is very dull looking, and seems to be starting to rust.

It's lasted ok, but doesn't look very smart. I thought these were stainless steel? Sure doesn't seem like it.

Armz.

I noticed that when i replaced mine. The rust was built up around the point where the pipe connects to the box. The remus has done about 10k miles now and is still gleaming :D

mine is going on to 5 years with 52k miles on the original; the exhaust is still looking good apart from the 'chrome' end which had rust since i bought the car in 2003... i cleaned it and got it back to new but am tired of having to do it so very often... i am changing it to a double ended one soon... for vanity reasons really B)

i enquired about fitting the celica [central double pipe end] style exhaust at the local kwikfit... i was told that the spare tyre thingy would be in the way... has anyone been able to do that?
