G6 Or Not To?

hello everyone, first post here so be kind please.

I will turn 17 in a few months, so im starting to think about what car i want to get. I was originally thinking of a EK civic, when I was talking about it with my brother he said what about a corolla, he mentioned there is a 6speed 'box on some of them, a little bit of research, I found this forum and found some other bits and bobs but still have a few questions,

1, Are the 97-2001 corollas any good for a 17year old?

2, Are they reliable

3, Is the G6 available in the facelift model(3door hatch)

4, I'm thinking of a few mod's already but looking around there doesnt seem much for the 4E-FE engine(that is the 1.3 right?)

5, Can someone tell me of companies/sites that do an induction kit and full exhausts

6, Is the shortshift kit worth it?

7, Whats the cheapest the WRC bumper can be bought for?

any other info would be helpful too

firstly, yes these corolla's are very reliable, the only facelift ones with a 6 speed box are the SR's as there is no facelift G6 or G6R you could always swap the 4E-FE with a starlet turbo's 4E-FTE pretty much straight swap (ish) the 4E-FE is very nippy around town and you might be surprised with it's acceleration for a 1.3 k&n do induction kits for both mongoose do and exhaust i think have you tried fensport.co.uk they do lots of parts modification wise and sell the TTE bodykit, good luck with your choice anyway ;)

on the k&n site using the application guide, they only do a panel filter for the 1.3,as for mongoose, does it fit the 1.3 as it doesnt give a specific engine size

i'm not sure i'm afraid, i went the custom route and built my own induction system and had the local exhaust place make me exactly what i wanted
