I've got this knocking noise aswell, pretty gutted to hear about the cost as i've just paid out £800 on repairs for my ST185. What is it i actually have to buy/ replace?

Completely different suspension on the ST185, so probably different problem altogether, and different cost. ST205 have a great suspension, but some of the components are known to need expensive replacement at 70K miles typically.

If you can't find any movement in any of the suspension, and nothing seems to be loose, then there's a good chance it's the AR bushes.

Does this apply to the 205 mate, i've got a knocking from both sides over rough ground and bumps, but can't find any play, i did notice that the front anti-roll bar is very flimsy by the drop links, but can this cause loud knocking i'm hearing.

any advise is appreciated

All is good, noise has gone ended up being a loose bolt apparently

the anti roll bar can cause a noise if the bushes are worn , but the superstrut knocking if very profound and unmistakable, the noise can be heard by turning lock to lock whilst parked up . its like a groaning at first then as the joints wear it kinda knocks at any opportunity , mot testers dont even notice a worn superstrut joint , the only way you can tell if it is them ,is to replace and see if the knock goes away.

all gt4 owners. bought a jdm gt4 st205 wrc edition and its the best drive i've had in a car yet!!

only problem is a lot of knocking coming from the passengers front side? have checked everything, suspension arms and links, replaced bushes and a driveshaft which was almost gone. the car is in unbelieavable condition not a scratch or a spot of rust and pushing out 270 bhp. i got the two supersruts stripped to see if we could find anything and just a small bit more play on the side with the knocking. would this more than likely be the cause and would it be worth replacing(how much & were?) or just hire up the radio? living in ireland and nobody here dealing with gt4's. also the suspension is trd adjustable and not sure where to get trd struts? any advice much appreciated.
