Hi Mate,

The CT26 is the wrong turbo for your car, you need the CT20.

Basically, The CT26 will physically fit your manifold / Down pipe (Down pipe will be a 7 stud pattern on your car, 6 stud on the CT26 if it's off a ST185 or 4 stud if it's off a ST165 or the corrisponding MR2's) and depending on the stud pattern you'd have to ditch some of the studs.

The problem is that Your car would rip a CT26 to pieces (Even if standard!), i've seen the results of a CT26 on a ST205 running at 0.9bar, and the turbo failed on the exhaust side fins (Luckily!!!) and the metal exited out of the exhaust, but if the same happens to the compressor fins, well unless your lucky and the intercooler catches the flying peices of metal, they will go into your intake and then go bang. That is unless you use it as a "stop gap" of sorts until you find a CT20, But i would'nt run above 0.7 bar.

Have you tried fensport, i bought a CT20 from them for £300 with only 10,000k gauranteed mileage on it.

Or you could try TCB in Cornwall, they are very good.

Hope this helps

Tony

there is no reason that a CT26 will cause any probs on a 205 as long as you keep boost to 1.1bar. most hybrid turbos are based on the CT26. TBH the CT20 turbo dosnt actually exist officially

I certainly wouldn't run a CT26 at 1.1 bar, It'll work, but not for long unless it's a hybrid, especially if bought second hand rather than a rebuilt one.

And i certainly wouldn't put a CT26 on a ST205, Never mind the the fact that a CT26 will in no uncertain terms be destroyed by the ST205 (Like i have said, i have personally seen what a 205 does to a ST185's CT26 at 0.9 bar, never mind 1.1) the fact that the standard turbo (CT20 or CT20b or what ever you want to call it Unoffically) on a 205 is stronger, boosts All the way to Red line unlike the CT26 where it drops off the boost at about 5500 rpm and the fact it has a larger compressor wheel, Larger Duel Wastegates etc. Ultimately the CT26 Will adversely effect the performance of the 205.

At the end of the day, This is only my opinion, and I'll stand by what i have said. CT26 + ST205 = Problems
