Verso Mmt

Hi I was wondering if anybody hasn't had a bad experience with the multimode transmission as I was thinking of buying one. Having had a test drive i thought how smooth the changes were, but that said i've always had manual gearboxes.

Do a search on MMt problems and have a good read through them ! take your time so you can fully understand the type of problems these poor unfortunate people are having and then you will have to decide for yourself.

You could also contact Toyota customer services and put to them any concerns you may have.

I believe Red Yaris 54 loves his MMt Yaris he used to have but I think he is in the minority and that was a Yaris not a Verso.

At this moment in time the VOSA are investigating owners concerns

I do not know if any improvements have been made to the MMT since its launch to overcome these problems I know Toyota have tried to find a solution.

If you are going for an MMT verso please dont think they are 'automatic' gearboxes. They still use a clutch plate system and if used incorrectly can wear out in no time!

we have replaced quite a few verso clutch kits/bearings and fitted new MMT ECU's due to an upgrade. These were earlier models so a 57 plate should be ok if used properly.
