Hi,

I've recently fitted a Standard spoiler to my 140 gen 7, but I screwed it up slightly,:( It turns out I mounted aproxmiately 1 inch too far forward, so... my question is.... will afftect the downforce the spoiler produces?

Any info is much appreciated

Thanks

Neil

IMO the celica spoiler is for aesthetics only.. inc the big TRD rear one.

So if it looks ok being too far forward then your fine

I don't think it'll make much, if any, difference. I wouldn't go as far as saying it has no function, but it is a spoiler rather than a wing, and its job is to prevent lift rather than creating aerodynamic downforce. Therefore as long as it 'spoils' the flow at the rear of the car and prevents your car behaving like an upside down aircraft wing, then it'll do its job just fine.

Actually I found the big TRD one on the GT does produce downforce, well enough to shut the boot one time I left it slightly open, a bite only 60mph+ :P
