Avensis Car Crash - The Evidence

Hi all

just thought I'd post a few pics of my car crash from last week so you can see how the car absorbed the impact. I was hit from behind whilst stationery in traffic, the car behind swerved to try and miss me but the front right of his car hit the back left of mine.

Damage to plastic part always looks bad. Good to see that metal part of bumper appears unaffected.

My 2 month old Avensis was hit by an idiot in a Jaguar XJ8 back in July (parking shunt). Whilst I was obviously well p1ssed off, my car lost some paint from plastic bumper (no damage elsewhere). The Jaguar's rear wing was badly damaged, and needed replacing. Rear bumper shattered, and needed replacing. Serves the careless bugg3r right. He hit me in a car park where there was ony one other car parked.

Looks messy but as michelangelo says the metal bar/rear quartes etc seem to be undamaged.

A new painted bumper/mouldings and possibly a couple of bumper retainer brackets should see it right :)
