Carina E R Reg Remote Central Locking

Hi

Up until my brother in law got his new Wireless Router from Sky , my Remote central locking worked perfectly.

Last week when he had his wireless router installed I could not unlock my car using the remote.

The AA came out and could see a signal from my handset / fob but it wasnt getting to the car , in the end I pushed the car down the street with the alarm going off about 200 metres and the handset worked again once I had put it near the passenger side window 200metres from the place it stopped working.

The only thing i can think of is the wireless computer router signal may have intereferd with the car remote - is this possible?

many thanks

CMB

switch the router off and see if it works.

If it's like the celica security system, just unlock with the key - the alarm will go off for 10 seconds, ignore it and start the car, drive off, when you get to your destination open the door before you turn off the keys otherwise it will sound again.
