in effect this enables you to lower the point at which the vvti kicks in

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the VVT-I working right from the word go?

If this device can lower the point at which the lift valve kicks in then it'd be worth it!!

Just seen these on ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...DME:X:RTQ:UK:11

Sent them an message asking if they work on Tsports, to which they replied yes.

Do u think they're talking rubbish???

The seller is actually a member on this board also. So i would assume he is speaking from facts when he says 'it will work'.

i would tend to agree with ponzer... it will only work on the variable valve timing [vvt]... and not on the lift [vvtl] which is the engine fitted to the CTs i think... i did read about gettting the lift to activate at lower rpm somewhere though...

You can do that with Apexi PowerFC standalone system, adjust VVT and Lift and much more :)

so if you can adjust lift how much does it cost ?

Sounds funny to me, the 'i' In VVTLi or VVTi stands for intetegent (or intelegence) and this varys the valve timing throughout the range.......but the add speaks about 'kicking in'.....

More than you can afford ;)

I had a power FC fitted to my T Sport and I had lift changed to engage at 5800 and the rev limiter changed to 8700 and it was awesome never had any problems at all cost £150 for the Power FC and commander off flea bay and £300 for Thor Racing to set it up well worth the money.

What was fuel consumption like afterwards? as once lift kicks in we are looking at lower single figure mpg's.

Also how long have you been running it, any reliability issues both setting up to usage up till now?

How much do you drive?

Thanks.

Apexi pfc sounds good for the money, better than £2000+ at silverstone performance.

Should work with the compressor as well, they're the same ecu I think  <_<

vvti comes in at a pre determined point. this device allows you to change that I'd say its best used with other mods.

works well on the IS200/IS300 cars

I thought there was no point lowering the lift point as the changeover point for the cams was actually at 6.2k

Saw a graph about somewhere... i'll see if i can find it.

Compressors have differnet ecu's to Tsports

....anyway why would you want to change the VVT (single rev change over) or VVTI(varys the timing throughout the range, not at a specific point)? Its primary function is to improve fuel comsumption.
