Ok, the other day I did an out-of-city business trip, total around 500km. It was the first trip after I started using BP Ultimate. Economy seems to be on the up side (odometer is at over 500km now, with some in-city driving, and still 2 fuel lines to go) and also it seems that the little Aygo that could has more power.

This power was more evident (surprisingly, for I know it's supposed to show at start levels) at high speeds, 5th gear and up. Not only that, but I got a new top speed of over 180km - yes, the needle was in the white space and it kept going with some ease!!! Given, it was slightly downhil (neutral wind, as far as I could tell), but still I thought that this was over its aerodynamic top speed... Needless to say, I didn't try to push it any more, I was plenty scared at that point :D

Cheers

Yeah - that, or a wheel chair (if I'm lucky). I don't think I'm doing it again!

Mind you it would be easier to fit a sub to a wheel chair

:wheelchair:

Hahahaha how true, but then again I probably wouldn't be able to feel much of the bass.

Now, back to the topic, what's the highest speed you've reached people??

101 Mph, and yes I did change my underwear

Aye, that would be 162km/h. And my 180+km/h is 112mph.

i NEVER speed

:lol2:

hmmm big fat lie......may have pushed it upped to the needle point 110mph on the odd (very safe) occasion although a Mr T work type person once told me the top speed of the aygos engine was 95miles an hour despite what it says on the speedo!! dont know if he was teeling me fibs or not..

I hope you guys didn't reach these speeds on public roads which is actually fairly illegal you know... ;)

Well I have a Citroen C1 Diesel (which obv. comes with a turbocharger, to get it moving!) and I have managed to get 108mph (174 km/h) out of it...but it was on the downhill part of the Circuit. Otherwise on a flat road with my foot wedged so far on the Gas that I'm touching the tarmac, it'll do 96mph (154 km/h) without any assistance from gravity, and that's its limit! When the engine's cold it won't even do that!

But then I bought a Diesel because my job involves Motorway driving 99% of the time, so on the practical side it's brilliant at holding 70 (113) and I think at around the 70 mark is where the turbocharger is working itss fullest as I can hear the whistling noise (or whooshing) at its loudest at 70, as soon as you pass 70 the noise drops and the engine then starts sounding like a Van!!

100mph na and 115mph with turbo

158kmh on a flat (german) road, no wind and A/C on, measures on my GPS,

needle was at 165kmh and all felt very stable for such a small car...

Driving on the autobahn, with my C1 absolutely flat out with a slight downhill I have hit 179 km/hr as measured by GPS. The speedometer on the C1/ 107 / Aygo is ~6-7 percent off. The C1 is remarkably steady at these speeds.

Speedometers are usually off by an absolute amount, not a relative one...

6-7% would mean little over half a mile off at 10mph and just under 7mph

at 100mph... On my car it's roughly 4kmh (2,5mph) too high at all speeds...

Hows the turbo going these days? Did you get the ECU in the end? Got a dyno run?
