Infinity Basslink

Hi Everyone,

I have been asking questions about car audio since I first decided I wanted a yaris, on Friday I got my yaris and am very impressed by it. I like the standard head unit and really like the steering wheel controls and as such have decided to keep these as standard and upgrade the Speakers and add a small sub.

I originally liked the active fli subs but have been reading up on the infinity basslink.

Am I right in thinking I can wire this straight into my Speakers to get the signal without having to use a line to RCA converter?

Does anyone have any experience of these subs in or out of a yaris and how did they find them?

Many thanks

I have just installed a BassLink to on my 92 Corolla and it's great! There are speaker level inputs for front and rear so you can hookup power, ground, and splice into the factory speaker leads for input. There is a option for the unit to automatically turn on the sub when it detects speaker level inputs so you won't have to run a remote wire. I work at best buy so I get the discount, I purchased for $150 (american) plus tax. The bass is clear, defined, and not boomy and in my tastes the bass is very loud inside the car but outside its barely audible except for when you have your windows down. I used to have 2 10"s dual voice coil ran to a 1000W (250W RMS) Pioneer amp and although it shook my car to oblivion, the bass wasn't as clear and defined like the Basslink is. Make sure that when you mount the unit that you don't drill into your gas tank or lines anywhere under the car since the screws supplied are about 1" and 1/2" for the remote mount. If you have any other questions e-mail me at ubercomputers (@) gmail.com (spaced to reduce spam).

Thats great to know I can just splice it into my speaker lines from the front Speakers, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. Where have you mounted your Basslink, under a front seat or in the boot, or where did you find the best place to have it situated.

Many thanks for replying.
