For what reason?

Personally I think you should relax a bit an enjoy the car for what it is.

more speed ! just wondered thats all.

Well technically any car can be equipped with nitrous, there are just other things to think about like can the drivetrain handle the sudden increase in power when you boot it, is the cooling system sufficient e.t.c, best thing to do is go on the envy performance website www.envyperformance.com and throw them a question about it, i know they do alot of different kits for different applications so that could be a good start.

Personally it's on my to do list. :D

I have used N2O in the past.(nitrous oxide)

NOS is a trade name by the way

It's great fun but expensive to run.

A pound of gas can cost around £4.5 - £5+ which makes filling a 10lb bottle around £50.

Despite what you see on the Fast and Furious films, it does not last long, just a few minutes at best even if it is triggered by a full-throttle switch.

It is more of a BS thing these days with people more inclined to show off the bottle and kit at meets.

It does make the engine run lean so you need a good engine management system to control it, or at best you lose your head gasket, at worst the whole engine :o

Nos can be a problem especially if youve a rev limiter it can allow neat nos into the comp chamber and have piston melt I've fitted it to a lot of track pugs ,its an instant fix and rus out quick, personally its my last option for more bhp.I've seen bent valves on overdosing...good luck glyn

i was thinking about having it in my old mr2 and when i phoned to enuire about it the above reasons where why i deciced against it 50 quid for 2 minutes a time being the main one,

but they said there was 2 types of kit wet and dry, they recomended the wet kit if using standard ecu etc, as that doesnt have has many problems with the leaning out

The wet kit usually squirts the gas in via an adaptor to allow it to enter the intake next to each injector.

The dry kit usually squirts the gas into the plenum just after the throttle body.

Both systems work well but some are more suited to some engines more than others.

If I was to do anything to my CTS it would be supercharge it, alot easier on the engine and still great power gains when done right.

The (excellent) 1st drag race scene in the Fast & the Furious says it all, melted engine and a huge repair bill for the fastest 0-60 ever, shame that it will be last one the car ever does......
