Hi guys, I got a little or big prob

As I start the engine I can hear a rattle from the engine bay. It also does it when I hit the accelerater or go round bends sharp.

It sounds like a belt is going round and rattling

Does anyone know if this is a common problem or am I up a creek we all know.

Cheers Merve

My Hydraulic tensioner went on my 185 and made a really bad rattling noise, was lucky it didnt throw the timing belt

I've had a look and it looks like its coming from under the intercooler. There is a small gap to the left and it sounds like its coming from there. What is down there???

Do you mean the lhs of the engine as you look at it from the front? Timing belt.

Across the top of the engine, directly under the intercooler you have the camshafts.
