Mmt Gearbox Problems Again

I have posted a topic on my problem with Yaris MMT. It is going wrong, i.e. not starting - it thinks it is in gear when it is in Neutral. Jerky drive when it finally starts. Driving on a road which is not flat as pan cake is real problem, I wonder whether the dealers or Toyota make any effort to make things right - or say that only few percentage of drivers are affected so we will let it go.

I have always backed the Verso MMt owners up to the hilt and as I have pointed out this is one of the most expensive purchase a person will make if you do not include buying your home . I do not think you can accuse Toyota of not trying to find a fix for the problem they have tried but unfortunately they seem to be unable too at this time .

Whether this type of gearbox was released to soon with not enough testing and development I do not know but this is very unlike Toyota to make such a mistake .

I do not know why Toyota continue to offer this version of gearbox at this moment in time maybe this will be the way gearbox design will go in the future as the concept seems good but until the problems are sorted out my personal opinion would be to withdraw it from sale .
