Corolla T-sport Oil Consumption

Hi all,

I have had my T-Sport for 3 weeks and have put 1,500 miles on it and it has used no oil so far. What is everyones average oil consumption between services. My car is registered August 2002 and has 41,500 miles. Does the VVTLI engine have the same oil consumption problems as the normall VVTI?

Cheers B)

Mine doesn't seem to have used any since I got it in March. :)

Think it's only the 1.8 VVTI that had the troubles, the VVTLI is a totall different engine.

only had to top mine up twice since doing about 20k and even then it wasnt much. Depends on how hard you drive it too, does that make me a bad person if i've had to top mine up :)

sorry to spoil the pary guys but u have to keep a very close eye on your oil. im having some issues with and shal we say Mr T isn being very cooperative seen as my car has 7 mths warranty on it.

apparantly toyota say its normal that these engines use a litre every 1000 miles, be intrested in anybodies opinions on that cos i reckon is rubbish seen as i had a celica that didn use a drop in 40000 miles

replies on a postcard please
