if you have a look at jbtsport's topic a while back (may be page 2 or 3) title of the topic is "my tsport on 19's" if i remember rightly.

he has some 19's , these are what i will be getting as i think they suit the car v.nicely.

not sure about the same size may just get the same alloys but 18's :)

If you want to be like almost everybody else, buy 18".

If you want to be a bit different, buy 19". But that's just my opinion :)

They look like AEZ icon 5's.

They are AEZ icon 5's, they only cost £485 fitted with new tyres! :D

I really dont like the idea of stickin 18s or 19s on a CTS. But it depends what you want i'd rather have it go a bit faster than have bigger wheels, heres a pic with of mine with 17s.

as for faster with 17's rather than 18's or 19's is they much difference ?

Depends on the wheel make and model tbh. My car is also on coilovers theres no other way to pull off 17s without it looking like a tractor. Also with 18s or 19s you would need really low profile tyres which would mean the comfort would suffer, I tried to achieve an all round balance between looks/performance/comfort. If your gonna go with 17x7.5 stick 215/40/17 tyres on them, i got 205/40/17 with the wheels and they were not good at all tyres were stretched and the ride was alot bumpier than at present.

i'm running on 17"s OZ ultraleggera and i think they're great, however i think 18"s and even more so 19"s will ruin the ride comfort!

thanks for your input everyone! lovin the photos too.

for the mo im thinkin either konig e-racer's or (and i no sum of u will think CHAV) the same style as the ones on the evo in 2fast 2furious!

need to learn how to use photoshop so i can get a better idea of what they wud look like!

....an unrelated question for you all... anyone taken their front bumper off cos there appears to bit more of a gap between it and the bottom of the passenger side headlight than there is on the drivers side, that make sense?

Thank you, I am selling the wheels because I have kerbed 3 of them and I now have moved back to portsmouth for uni and its all parallel parking down here they would just get badly damaged. So thought I would sell them and I have put the SR / T Sport wheels back on for now...dont know how long it will last because it jst does not look the same.

This isnt a rant!

Anyone considering going over 17's should bear in mind the state of the roads in this country, i am running a 57 reg CTR on 19's at present (works car) and due to the tyre's being such low profiles i am expecting a buckled wheel soon as i have seen a lot of these on cars with big rims. The damage isnt usually a result of the driver its normally the road.

Yeah u are right. We have pretty crappy roads in Finland, but i'm still going to get those 19's..

If i can't find any "light" 19's, then i will probably go for 18's with 40 profile tyre. I think that 17's look so damn small in cts. My previous car was a xsara vts and it had first 17" then later 18" and the 17's lookd pretty small also...

You don't go any faster with small rims if they weight about the same as the bigger rims.

You just have to drive very carefully with big rims ;)

Do you have any pics from that ctr?

you do go faster with smaller rims/tyres cos the diameter is less so they spin faster........http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html ;)

Diameter is smaller if you have low profile tyre in small wheel.

19" wheel with 35 profile tyre.

17" wheel with 50 profile tyre. Diameter is about same.

I think that it looks a little stupid if you have "small" rim with low profile tyre, because it won't fill the wheelarches.

If you know what i mean?

17" wheel with 35-40 profile tyre, then the diameter is smaller, right?
