Spare Wheel

My Verso is now five months old and I had never checked the pressure in the spare wheel. Yesterday I noticed I had a flat tyre so after a bit of cursing I removed the spare only to discover that it had half the required air in it.

So why had I never checked the spare? Two reasons, firstly the spare in my Yaris never lost pressure in five years of ownership so I was lulled into a false sense of security and secondly the spare on the Verso is difficult to check without a lot of bother. How often should I check the pressure in the spare ?

We are all supposed to check our tyre pressures weekly.. including the spare. I personally check mine once a month.

I keep a tyre inflator in the boot which works from the cigarette lighter for cases like that

In the commercial world, oil air and water are daily checks, lol

I check Mrs Kingo's once a month..... ish...............or when shes washing it Hope she does'nt read this!
