Faulty Omori Gauges?

Hi,

I've got a set of 3 omori gauges on my GT4 - One for oil pressure, one for oil temperature, and one for water temperature.

I'm having problems with all three, but am unsure of how long they have been on the car.

The oil pressure one works fine, and gives accurate readings... BUT the needle flutters constantly... and it can get quite annoying - especially when you can hear it fluttering.

The oil temperature needle doesn't work at all. It doesn't even budge for some reason. :(

The water temp gauge does work... but it won't go over a maximum of 75 degrees c after being driven hard... or 20 under a long drive, which is probably about 20degrees c short of it's true reading? The car is definitely getting over the 82 degrees c which is required for the thermostat to open, so it seems this gauge is faulty too. :(

Has anybody heared of any common problems and fixes on the omori gauges, or mechanical gauges in general... as I'd much prefer to try and fix these than have to buy new. :o

Many thanks, :)

Not really much you can do with mechanical guages as everything is inside the gauge and fluids are piped to the gauge via capilary tubes.

Personally I much perfer Electric gauges as you fit the sensor to the engine and keep the fluids etc in there then just run the sender wire into the cabin.
