E70 Corolla Saloon Diecast Model Car - Recent Launch

Just thought I post some photos of my nicely detailed 1/64 scale (very small) 1979 E70 series Corolla model car. I had to buy this since other than the twin lights it's identical to a 1300DX I owned in the early eighties. This particular car was posted to me from Japan.

The car is made by Tomica / Tomytec and there are usually a few on eBay.com or eBay.hk, it was only introduced last month, a 1987-on shape Corolla saloon and late 60's Corona 4 door are being launched by them soon.

As a useless bit of info :D did you know that the KE70 remained in production till approx 1988 for sale to third world countries (whereas western world ceased sales in 1983, unless you chose estate/kombi)

Thats a great looking car twincam.gti, beautifully made, well done. Not seen an Aoshima one without a sunroof before.
