Speek Kit Anyone?

Hi there,

I just got a new Auris 2.0 D-4D car and I am looking to add a good power box, but not necessarily a very expensive one. I will add the box later, after 2000 km... but looking to buy that upgrade right now...

Does anyone have any experience with the power boxes from Speed Kit?

http://www.speedkit.de/en/

They seem fairly cheap but don't know anything on how they perform - it seems that one box will fit either an Auris or a BMW :o  However, the price is very attractive so I could see myself ending with that one.

On the other hand, the P-Tronic are quite expensive - but they could be custom made to each engine...

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Thanx!

Hello,

Their customer service sucks. I asked a question and no answer, send an order and still no answer.

After couple of days some one called me from the company and asked me to call to their helpdesk.

Well I already ordered it from http://myworld.ebay.com/carperformanceparts

I was able to speak with the seller at MSN. Good service. Have not installed it yet.

And btw here is right place to talk about this: http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...20&start=20

Sorry for my late reply - every time I tried to post the browser went crashing on me... now I run a new PC (upgraded @ work) and everything seems fine.

I contacted the people at Speedkit.de and they replied... I didn't ask any tech questions - I was interested in the methods of payment. They only accept payment in advance, which is OK with me... but they didn't give me more details.

There's another chip tuning manufacturer http://www.chiptuning.com/index_en.html... sounds good but I am going to order the Speedkit as soon as possible.

If you're looking forward to increase the power of your car, Chiptuning could be one possible way. You also have to consider, that you possibly can loose your warranty. Therefore your Chiptuning-Dealer has to offer a guarantee on the product.

Don't know anything about the speedkit version, but you could try http://www.dieseltuner.co.uk or http://dieseltuning.co.uk/ for the their more advanced adaptivscan solution. Think they have distributors in other parts of Europe.

My experience has been the engine management light comes on the second time you start the car and I get higher idle rpm. For this reason I would only buy the unit from a tested proven source.

In the end I gave up and I will probably just exchange the car for T180 at a future service.
