Hi there, just wondering if any one could tell me where to get a DE-CAT pipe for my car? it a 1997 Blacktop 20V

also i am running a cold air induction system straight to the throttle bodies, and i was wondering if it is a better idea to use velocity stacks instead? would i see better throttle response/bhp using the stacks?

oh and 1 more thing! is there any thing i can use to cover the stacks?! i mean i cant find individual airfilters for each TB and im afraid of stuff getting sucked in! lol

any help would be great thanks!

:D

Hi, i made my own decat pipe as they are very expensive, your looking at £160 for a sard one and thats in Japan. I was thinking about selling mine. made it so noisy but i have no silencers so it was really raspy.

What do you mean about the throttle bodies?

Nothing on them at all with a tube connected to cold air?

You really need some stacks as you disrupt the air flow with nothing on them and will lose performance, your looking at over £100 for a decent set of those.

You can buy certain individual kits but they are very expensive.

Your best bet is to buy some stacks and find some sox filters off bikes to put on them!

im using the standard black airbox thing with a cold air feed connected to it. i was wondering if it would be worth getting rid of the airbox and using stacks instead? is there a difference in power/torque? how much for the decat pipe?!! Did it sound bad decated?!

The original stack inside the box are wierdly shaped and you will lose power and torque because of this, dunno about the decat pipe yet will let you know what i decide, because i have no midbox either when i put the decat in it went really raspy/ dam noisy but it felt slightly smoother on power delivery.
