Best Polish

want to try a new polish, on my rav been useing turtle waxs ice , very easy to use but not that happy with the shine . would like a polish that has no white residue ( white marks on doors trims ect ect ) any one have any good polishes they can recomend , many thanks looking forward to your replys and to get a great shine on the rav.

Hi Jibbbbbbbbbbbb, if I were you I would PM Gwilphil, he has one of the shiniest Rav's I've seen on here.

Auto Glym Aqua Wax is very easy to apply (with a damp car.....supplied with two micro-porous cloths) and does not leave any white marks

I just use the ordinary Auto Glym and the results are great But it can leave white marks. :(

Next time I'll have to have a look out for that Auto Glym Aqua Wax

I need to look at some of these modern polishes. I was originally using Auto Glym but stopped when I read in Auto Express that Max Wax was producing a cream polish that didn't produce a layer of static dust. That was very good and came in a gory green bottle. However, the last bottle I got (in a black bottle) has come as more of a liquid than cream (its like putting Mr Sheen on) and I dont like it.

The best one on the market if you can get it and I can,t over here is Zaino (Halfords do stock it sometimes)so I have taken to using Meguiares Gold ( the full range from car wash to cubana wax) it is a QUALITY product. I used their quick detailer yesterday after I,d washed it xcellent result.Even on the inside I use their products not cheap but I can get them over here and am well satisfied

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to get some of the zymol stuff for my 4.2

Quite impressed with the results (probably the best of the three here), doesn't leave marks, but I reckon far too over priced, although this is peanuts compared with what they will try to get out of some people:

and being a cynical sort I'm not sure I believe all (if any of) the marketing hype.

Also tried Meguiar's "Deep Crystal System". Results nearly as good as the Zymol, but it is a 3 stage process and to be quite honest - well life's too short isn't it? - I spend too much time cleaning the beast as it is, but hate having a dirty motor. When Mr T. brings out the self cleaning car, I will be first in the queue. :D

So I too have been using P21S recently. Think it's a reasonable compromise on price/time/effect although it could still be too expensive for some (about £20=175g). Mixture of Beeswax and (as stated previously) Carnauba. Doesn't seem to leave marks.

However, might now try some of the recommended on here.

Been using zymol for the last 2+ years. Very easy to use. I like the car shampoo too really gives a deep shine to the car.

I would agree it's on the expensive side but haven't seen anything that beats it yet!

MMMM Shiny RAV.... I aint done mine yet....but have been keeping a keen eye on this thread.

Kinda like the sound of the CAAANUUUUBA sexy wax and also the Auto Glym Aqua Wax sounds like it might be a goodn...

Will have to find some time to get intimate with my RAV and give it a good polish.... n see what comes up ;)
