Replacing Stereo Unit - Any Success?

Hi all

Like a few people on here I am very keen to replace the standard stereo set-up in my verso with an aftermarket unit, possibly double-din size (I'm worried a single-din unit may look a little 'lost' in the dash). I can see a few people have hinted towards trying this out and have actually purchased the replacement fascia adaptor but has anybody been successful in integrating a new unit into their vehicles whilst keeping the aesthetics? Anybody got any news/advice/piccies etc?

Hi Chad,

Here's what I have and I'm pretty happy with it:)

A JVC KW-AVX800 double DIN unit. I used the Toyota frame and modified it a little - peace of cake:)

That looks great! Do you still have use of the steering wheel controls? I am tempted to give this a go especially if I can wire it to the head rest screens already in my T-Spirit - would save the hassle of having to start the engine before having to get out and load a dvd up for the kids.

p.s. how did you modify the toyota frame (I'm assuming its not standrad double-din size)?
