My Stereo Won't Turn Off!

Hi!

I have an 04 Avensis Estate 1.8 petrol.

The tape player / CD /Radio has just started to ignore me...

I was playing a tape, and now the whole unit has frozen. You can hear the tape going around, and all the lights are on, but it doesn't respond to a thing, nomatter what buttons I press.

Even when I turn the ignition off, the thing stays on. I'm just worried now that its going to run the Battery down.

I tried to take out the fuse, but the only one which seemed to have an appropriate name was "RAD 1" (fuse no. 12).

This made no difference, so I assume that's not the radio fuse...

Any ideas?

you want the interior fuse..

In the end the Battery ran flat. When it was recharged and put back in the stereo was fine again.

That said, I'll give the interior fuse a try if it goes wrong again.
