I hope I am wrong, but My 03 T3-s with 76,515 had a noise at around 2500 rpm nothing below nothing over 3000rpm, with mine it was a complete engine gone ( this was only two months ago ) , what is the status of your engine oil reading, check that first, then I would run it to Mr T to give it the all clear. :fear:

If it is a worse case scenario my engine was replaced under warranty although the warranty had expired, without any arguing I might add.

The noise was a rattling sound , and not that loud really.

I would be interested in following this, to see the outcome. :drunk:

Ps. my engine was a VVT-i, you have not mentioned what engine you have.

They said the engine was being deprived of oil and the big end bearing suffered for it. To be honest I was going to Canada 10 hours after this happened so I left it with them, hoping something would get done and on my return two weeks later it was all done, new engine, and serviced. But the question was why no oil, it had a service history of every 10K never missed a beat.
