hi

try ot blow it thru using compressed air and pistol. I have done it peresonally and result OK.

But it is effective one time but after you'd better to replace it otherwise your front glass will become misty during A/C running.

DO NOT blow out the filter.

In recent sudies, it has been shown that Air/Cabin filters that have been blown out using high pressure air, have exposed technicians and their work colleagues to harmful debri and particulates which get suspended in the air. The analysis also shows that the operational efficiency of filters blown out like this are largely unaltered, in other words, it doesn't make the filter any more efficient, you just expose yourself to risk!

Cabin filters are electrostaticaly charged in order to capture small particulates, they will get dirty quickly, but just because it is dirty does not mean it is inefficient, replace it at the normal rate and it will be fine DONT LEAVE IT OUT

Mart

I have been watching this subject for a while, and your right Mart, we were issued with a bulletin about it this week, it makes me smile when I think about how many times I have blown out old asbestos brakes when I were a lad! Plumes of dust cascading through the garage, changing the flavour of your butties

Thanks for all your replys guys, went to a car part shop this morning and bought a new one for £8.50 thats less than half than i payed for my last one, if any of you are intrested they can also be bought in Halfords for around the same price the number on the box is ACE130 and it is a coopers filter, why pay £20 when you can get them for this price and you can fit it yourself in 5 minutes.
