New Engine

My head gasket went and I need a new engine for an 03 Avensis t4. It's an auto so an engine from an auto would be less work to fit. Can anyone help with finding an engine/write off? Toyota estimating at least £4000 fitted at the moment.

manual and auto engines are the same

Transmitions are diffrent

I know the engine is the same, (but I've been told if I get one from an auto it will prob have the box with it meaning easier to fit) what I want to know is where I can get one for a good price. But um... thanks? for the um... advice?

Genrally speaking

you pay for what you get.

+ a gearbox on an engine = more money.

do you have an model numbr for the engine ?

I think prices are around about 500>1k
