Bluetooth Hft

Can anyone please confirm if it is possible to have the bluetooth HFT fully integrated using the steering wheel buttons on the current Avensis model? (I know it can be fitted not using the steering wheel's buttons.)

Im pretty sure you can get a SWC bluetooth kit for the Avensis. Im sure i have fitted a couple myself.

Your dealership should be able to tell you too.

As I understand it, you can only have the SWC bluetooth on the non sat nav cars, ie. T2 & T3- X. The remainder cannot, ie. T3-S, TR, T4, T-Spirit & T180, since the standard fit sat nav is non compatible.

Perhaps someone can confirm?

Confirmed

On the current Avensis the SWC bluetooth HFT is only available on the non Sat Nav models, ie. the T2 & T3-X.

This is in spite of the misleading information in the official accessory part of the brochure, page 05, which is titled "Technogy to live with" and reads, quote " For bluetooth phone owners the advanced Toyota Bluetooth system features comprehensive voice recognition capabilities. The system links through steering wheel mounted switches on your car's steering wheel"

It makes no distinction regarding availability between grades and leaves the customer assuming it is in fact available throughout the whole range - very misleading.

So, T3-S,TR, T4, TSpirit & T180 customers, prepare to be disappointed, as I was, if you specify Steering Wheel Control Bluetooth as an optional extra on the current model.
