I can't get a workshop manual for my 1988 Hilux pickup and I need info on how to change the front wheel bearings. Do I need any special tools to dismantle the front freewheel hubs?

Hope someone can help

Hi mate

i had to swap a busted stud recently and seem to think that the strip down got as far as you'll need. Didn't need any spec tools, its just slow and steady. Only thing you may need to watch is the turned over (tabbed) washers on the locknuts on the shaft and, of course, the dreaded cone washers.

Best way to get these off - spank the little b*****s with a brass drift (straight onto the end of the the studs) and they vibrate free.

I got a manual from Milners, Max Ellery's rather than Haynes which I didn't find too much help.
