New Back Box Fitted

got my new back box fitted.. its got a nice low rumbling sound, but i wanna know why its bent to the side..it bends towards the right when looking at it from the back

Is this the exhaust? the twin pipe TMG sports exhaust?

I had the same problem.

1. The height was not equal on both sides

2. The horizontal space of the exchaust tip between the rearskirt was not equal & different on both sides.

3. the left muffler was hitting the towing hook on bumps

My dealer told me the could not do anything about it.

So , to solve it, I service centre centered my TMS pipes by:

A. Bended the rubber suspensionhooks of the rearmufflers so the hight becam equal.

B. The left muffler as fitted with a clamb. they used this fitting to get the exchaust tip horizontal equal between the rearskirt.

C. Removed 2 cm of the towing hook plate.

cost: 95 €

hmm that explains alot. thanks. i just thought that the new back box was bigger than the standard, so means that there was no room for it to be place..thanks again.

yeh but havnt took notice of there exhaust...iv seen a few RX7 fd with a direct pointing out from the back. thats why im asking

its not that loud but its changed the sound by loads, it only sounds good when the revs drop, dont sound as good when revving

thinking of getting a sports cat done aswell

Mine isnt like that no because its a custom one and totally forgot to ask but most of the jap boxes for my car have them coming out the back at an angle!
