Damp Start

Does anyone else find that there is a damp start problem if the car has been left in the rain?

If I don't rev the engine a bit it will not start.

Nope. I would get it seen to.

I have finally booked in to sort this. The problem occurs if there if fine misty rain - (like with an old Ford Escort).

yeh i get this problem too... or even when its damp out when its cold!

It was a waste of time. I was told "We couldn't find anything wrong with it" by someone who looked at me accusingly as if I had wanted to waste time.

An intermittent fault can turn out to be a dog that won't sit.

I had to rev to start it yesterday. It had not been parked in damp or cold conditions. I'll certainly keep an eye on this and may even advise Mr T despite the "get in the naughty corner for bothering us with an unfaulty car" attitude.
