Hi Does Anyone Know How To Replace An Ariel On A 2000 Corolla Vvti?

hiya everyone i've been having trouble removing my ariel off my corolla, somebody out of boredom decides to snap off my ariel, such a pain in the ***** now i cannot listens to traffic news. i have purchased a replacement ariel off eBay, it is a universal fit ariel costs lest then a fiver.

my main concern is during the process of removing the remains of the broken ariel i encounter great difficulty unscrewing the existing one, it was a simple on a citroen saxo... just unscrew it counter clockwise then you are done.... where as with the corolla no matter how much force i put in, it will not come loose.. even with the aide of tools, it loosen slightly but not alot.. it seems its not a screw in type installation.

please if any one had remove an ariel in the past with this vehicle can you explain to me how its done.
