Replaced Maf And The Engine Management Lights On :s

got a brand new toyota Mass airflow sensor

replaced mine to see if its what was causing my "powerless car"

started the car up and its running a lot better but the engine management light is on :S

any ideas?

Dint change it with ignition on by any chance did yer? If so the code will want resetting

ahhhh my mate was there when i did it and he said what happens if you have no MAF so i started the car with it unhooked

im sure i switched the ignition back off but i cudnt say 100%

will the old "take the Battery off for 20mins" trick do it?

Yeah starting the car with it disconected wil deffo put a code up and the MIL light on. Dont know if dis-connecting the Battery will clear the code i`ve never personaly tried it. If it dont, and you have to take it to the garage, tell the truth about what you`ve done. It will save loads of the tec`s time and you`l probably get it done cheaper.

went off itself :D oh andddddddd FLAT SPOTS GONE :D

im proper chuffed

just need the rattley clutch out now lol

and get the tsport bumper on :)
