Cr1632 Like Getting Hold Of Gold

Cr1632 is the Battery that fits the remote keyfob on the T180. Boy have I had a job getting hold of one of these. I got my Dad to call in at my Toyota main dealer on the Island today to get one, not exactly rocket science. Would you believe the main dealer didn,t have one in stock (I was getting Low Key Battery on my dash). He returned and went absolutly ballistic about them because as he says their level of customer service was nil. They didn,t even offer to order one for him when they got some stock in.Bearing in mind this is the second time we have had dealings with them ( the last time was the TPMS light coming on which they charged £35 for reprogramming and it didn,t work) he rang the Service Manager and had a right go at him.He was upset mainly due to the lack of customer service at the main dealers and told them that because unlike the UK they are the only Toyota main dealer and they cannot play God.

Moral of the story is that the VW Tiguan looks more of a certainty than ever now!!!! all because of some D***head not getting it right at point of contact

Clare

Have now got the batteries from a local auto electics dealer (he had loads of them)

Sorry to hear of yet more underachievement by Mr T over on the Island!

I totally concur with your perspective though.

Useless Customer Service / Aftersales = No more repeat business.

Not sure what VW customer service is like though.

Apparently, if you want the best, get a Lexus..........GX400h anyone?????

Very sorry to read your post Clare.

Paul is absolutely right, no matter how good the car's are, if the customer's first point of contact are not interested in being helpful and courteous, them people will take there business elsewhere.

The days when people were blindly local to one manufacture (or even one model!) are over. People, quite rightly demand good and efficient customer service especially after they have handed over considerable sums of money.

I know when I was a BMW owner, people would avoid the BMW dealers in Chester like the plague because of their high-handed and arrogant attitude and drive miles out of their way (mainly to the excellant BMW dealers in Liverpool) for servicing, aftersales and eventually NEW sales.

Clare, I hope your Dad has calmed down now and has recovered from this whole unfortunate experience.

I have a list of banned companies that I will never set foot in again, their loss not mine!

I have been in this job all my life and treat others as I would like to be treated, it works most of the time, there are people who go out of their way to be rude, and if they are, or just have poor service, I go on to the next company. The one thing I refuse to do is get hung up over it, forget them and move on, they don't deserve your money Clare

Kingo
