Alarm Driving Me Crazy

Hi

This is my first post, so hello to everyone. I drive a 2004 Celica T Sport.

Can anyone help with an alarm problem. Intermittent problem which gives me real headaches from time to time, main dealer says there's no problem.

I park the car, activate the locks, either one or two presses of the key fob. Alarm goes off, and off and off and off. Tried opening and locking doors, starting car, not locking at all (Auto lock comes on), but nothing seems to cure it until it decides to stop. May not happen again for weeks, but as I guess you can understand, it is really annoying if this happens overnight. I'm not that popular with the neighbours!!

Has anyone else had similar experience or can anyone point me in the direction of a fix?

All suggestions (polite) gratefully received.

Thanks :(

There are lots of threads on this subject that might have helpful information for you Mazz; do a search for alarm in the Celica section.

First step is to check for coins, keys or anything else metallic left in either the glove box or the drinks holder; for some reason it seems to reflect or magnify interference causing false alarms.
