Howdy Peeps,

i've just grabbed an absolute steal on fleabay, a standard front strut brace for £10!!! :D Very pleased with myself!

Now, being a mechanical !Removed!, i could do with a bit of advice.

i think i can manage to fit the two ends to the towers but, how do you bolt the middle bit onto the firewall? i can see the holes are there and ready to be used but how do i get to the other side to bolt onto it? and what size nuts and bolts do i need?

any help would be usefull.

Ta very much. ;)

(please be kind to me, as i said i am a mechanical !Removed!. but i'm trying!)

Yeah, i said in the first message the holes are there, i just don't know how to get to the other side of the firewall to put the bolts in.

any hints?

what GT4 BOOSTER said was that the holes are already threaded like the inside of a nut, as in you don't need the nuts just screw the bolts into the holes

strip out the full dash is the only other option .

Ah, sorry Booster, i missed the threaded bit!

i'll have a look-see in a bit. Does anyone know what size bolts fit the holes? The strut bar didn't come with any.

also i've managed to find the rear bar for £30 too!! :D happy with that!

look for a bolt allready in the bulk head that looks like the same size hole, remove it and try it into the hole for the strut brace . if it fits in nicely , there's the size you require. most bolts used on cars in a particular area are the same thread and length .

you will need the boot interior from a st205 gt4 for the rear bar . other option is hack n slash your existing interior panels.
