just wondering if anyone can help me out a little bit with a problemo. I've bought a raid hp universal induction kit with the hope of fitting it to my yaris sr p1. totally stuck now  anyone fitted an induction to an sr before that could give me a few steps as to how to go about it. pics would be a bonus! :D

Cheers!!!

it's a universal kit, so good luck in fitting it.

does it come with the adaptor for the air sensor, if not you can't fit the kit to the car, as the car won't start.

take a look in the registry section at the top of the page and search for sr/ t-sports as they have the same engine layout so air filters are the same.

There may be a few pics in there, but most people have relocated thir filters to behind the headlight.

Hey mate your kit can be fitted but not to much effect, you still need original air box and the cold air feed that goes to headlight needs to be cut then angled downwards with cone attatched onto that, then you just take out panel filter inside box, sounds a tad better but TBH you might aswell just get a Typhoon kit from K&N to get a bit more power and alot better noise, especially uplifted throttle response, havent got any pics of engine bay on the laptop will wait till i go home from uni on weekend and post up for you!

Yeah eBay or envy, dont really see many second hand ones flying about, as far as fitting goes it comes with very good fitting instructions.

had a little think about it and just going to go ahead and fit the raid and maybes a cold feed from somewhere if possible for that little extra. you mentioned connecting the cone to the existing feed, how do i go about this as its a flexible rubber hose? somebody mentioned a metal tube inserted into the rubber and a jubilee clip but thought id check with you seeing as though you seem to know your way around an engine bay or two. anybody got any input or advice, all more that welcome!

cheers lads and lasses!!!

Well i had a pipercross universal which came with silicone pipe, so just cut down cold feed to desired length, (before right angle from air box), then pointed it downwards then fitted the cone onto air feed using two jubilee clips and the silcone piper

hi again,

fitted the raid, no problems. took cold feed out completely and fitted cone straight on to the air box, then removed the panel filter. stupid me then tried to start the car without reconnecting the Battery negative. turned the key and smoke started coming from the trip and mph/kmph buttons. wasnt happy with myself! but, trusty little yaris told me what was wrong ( Battery light came on :P ) and i sorted it. started car, expecting a roar....nothing! sounds exactly the same. let the car idle for 5 mins to let the ecu adapt then took her out. had the idea that i might get my desired roar if i put my foot down.....3000 revs, nothing, 4000, nothing, 5 thousand, aaaggghhh here it comes :D , 6000, still coming :) , 6500, change gear  . what a let down! :( should have listened to you sr kid lol :P and the on top of this, no change to performance. oh well, it wasnt the most expensive kit ever and with it being a universal kit doesnt help. but ive done my research :D and im on the trail on a k&n typhoon or pipercross viper. any advice from anyone with these kits? i just wish i did it properly the first time :P
