Piperx Induction Kit & Tsc/vsc Lights

Hi All,

Strange one here. Fitted the PiperX Filter at the weekend whilst the Battery was disconnected to do my Hands Free kit.

Connected back up, all working fine, no dash lights. Drove 200 odd miles since, but now I get the Check Engine, TSC & VSC lights on the dash.

I've been having a dig around and found something about the small vacuum pipes. I thought I had done this right when I installed it:

However, looking on TOC, I've seen this pic, which suggests I may have it wrong??

Since I dont have the fitting instructions nor can I find them online - Can anyone help out??

Cheers,

Steve

When you disconnected the Battery for reset the ECU, were your tyres completely straight (centered)? That can cause the lights.

RE: the hose, some have blanked it off with no problems, while others have fed it back into the manifold.

Cheers

Yep. Wheels totall straight. I would have expected the TSC/VSC lights to come on more or less straight away if they were not.

Just need to work out if this is the right way of doing the hose...

Steve, I replied on TS Owners but here we go, simply blank off the vacuum/breather pipe and also blank the small pipe that comes off the mass air unit.

Toyota told me that the lights come on as a general fault warning but their code checker came up with 'lean running' when mine did the same thing.

The small pipe was sucking air into the engine after the metering point ;)
