Just bought one of these

12350of6.th.jpg

It has 2 push button switches for electrical accessories.

I plan to use one switch (hooked up to a live-when-ignition-off) to control White LEDs in the glove box, boot and door pockets. And the other switch for blue LED accent lighting in the footwells and around the cabin, wired to automatically turn off when ignition is off

I'll let you know how it goes, when I get the pliers out this weekend. Any other ideas are welcome :)

That's because rocket launchers, machine guns and ejector seats are illegal in the UK.

:lol2: that would be so much fun an ejector seat!!

Innit. I only had time to fit it. I'll hook up the wiring later.

I'm not too fond about the design of these knobs, but I AM curious...

Do you have to install some kind of controlbox too?

Or is the power fed right through the switches???

How heavy a load can they take (either in Amps or Watts)???

No control box. Power taken from interior light (always on) and 12v socket (off when ignition off).

The power is fed through the switches.

The instrustions were missing from the box, so I don't know the max load, which is a bit of a worry and also the reason I'm using LEDs, because of their low power consumption. The fuses for the interior light or 12v socket will blow if I ever overload it, which is unlikely. Nevertheless, I could always add a relay and use it to activate anything more thirsty for power.
