Toyota Caldina

Hello from Moscow!

I'm from russia toyota caldina club (http://caldina-turbo.ru)

I was shocked: in russia caldina is more popular then in UK!:)

I know about 400 men just in moscow who have this auto and see 2-3 in UK.

Remember, that in russia we must use right side of road to driving and Caldinas are right hand drive cars!

Thanks our liberal laws:)

I have 98' Toyota Caldina GT (Avensis look-alike) with 3S-GE Beams engine (190 hp) and 4wd automatic transmission.

It's interested for me to speak with peoples who have the same auto!

I have enough information that can be useful for UK caldina drivers and have some little questions for you!

Wait for your answers!

PS Sorry for my English if I made some mistakes:)

Hi Taxist

I'm in the UK and have been looking recently at importing a Caldina ST215W with a manual gearbox, Would you recomend them as a daily transport?
What kind of fuel consumption can they get when driven sensibly? as I do 120km a day to work, obviously they will be thirsty when DRIVEN !
Are there any non Toyota spare parts available for them or only expensive Genuine Toyota?
How is the handling I drive a Carina CDX at the moment is the suspension similar or is the caldina set up stiffer?
I hope you can help me with some of me queries!
